About Grimworks Company
Grimworks Company is a small independent studio dedicated to the creation of handcrafted, narrative-driven objects that exist somewhere between art, artifact and illusion.
Each piece begins with a question rather than a design. What if an object could feel like it carried a past? What if something newly made could still suggest that it had been found, rather than created?
Drawing inspiration from abandoned carnivals, forgotten arcade machines and obscure folklore, Grimworks explores the tension between playfulness and unease. The result is a collection of objects that appear familiar at first glance, yet resist simple explanation the longer they are observed.
Every item is built by hand in limited numbers. Materials are selected not for perfection, but for character — worn edges, irregular finishes, subtle imperfections. These details are intentional, forming a surface that suggests history without defining it.
Grimworks pieces are not replicas of existing objects, nor are they tied to a single narrative. Instead, they are fragments — open-ended, interpretative, and deliberately unresolved. They invite curiosity, but offer no clear answers.
Some see them as art.
Others as props, relics, or conversation pieces.
Grimworks does not define their purpose.
It simply creates them.
The Work
Each object is designed to evoke a sense of presence.
A machine that seems like it should function, but doesn’t.
A figure that appears expressive, yet unreadable.
An artifact that suggests use, but reveals no origin.
They are not interactive in the traditional sense.
Their value lies in perception — in the way they alter a space, a mood, or a moment of attention.
Limited & Handmade
All Grimworks pieces are produced in small batches or as individual builds. No two items are exactly alike. Variations in finish, texture and detail are part of the process, not imperfections.
This approach ensures that each piece remains unique, and reinforces the idea that these objects are discovered, rather than manufactured.
Closing
Grimworks Company does not aim to create products.
It creates objects that feel like they shouldn’t exist —
yet somehow do.
